I have installed PHP-nuke 7.6.
I decided to remove the original news module and replace it
with "NSN_News_760_115".
I didn't manage to get NSN news to work so I removed NSN News and
replaced it the the original news module....
My problem now is that the Admin news icon don't show up in the admin
section and when I try to edit news as an admin I get a blank page.
Something's wrong here...I need some help.

did you put all the files back?
Difference is that the news mod you tried comes with admin files that goes into the admin folder.
The standard news mod of 7.6 doesnt have that, the admin files are in the news mod.
As far as i know of it creates a table but doesnt alter any ....so it should work.

When I look in my backup files it seems that I've put all files back.

But wait a minute...I think I'm lost here. The submission module
doesn't work either...and when I'm looking in the folder
Images/admin I don't have a news admin icon.
Is the submission module the same as the news module? Rolling Eyes

No..
The submit_news is a different module.
And the News module is set to home standard.
And the image that is used by the new in admin is stories.gif

In my modules list the news module don't show but
the default homepage module is news (it was set before I start
to mess up with NSN News) and I can see the news
on the first page, so the news module isn't totaly crashed.

Is there some other file(s) that need to be checked?

No..
Make sure you just use your standard News mod ..
And naturaly that your News mopd is set (In Home)
Infact then all should be back to normal.
and you can delete the table that is created when installing the other news mod.

I've solved the problem.
I installed NSN Groups before and I had some problems with that too.
When I uninstalled the mod the news icon showed up and it
all works again...strange.

Thanks for your help anyway.

This might explain your other post about not being able to add a third topic. If NSN News modified the Topics table and you removed NSN...there you go....
