I have been having a problem with my GFX. I have narrowed it down to the output of the GFX and not the monitor. I just can't figure out where its coming from. In the attached image I have included some images of what I see. I have uninstalled and reinstall my gfx drivers a bunch of times and it keeps coming back. I also tried to a system restore to see if it was a setting that I might have messed with or something. I don't want to waste my time and format if it is my gfx card causing this. If anyone has any idea wtf is going on please let me know.

Hoe can we ever "PLEASE HELP ME!!! ( if you can )" if you don't "PLEASE HELP US!!!" which is btw:
#1 The worst topic subject ever (read the rules)
#2 The worst SHOUT ever
Tip: never shout and always give a good subject or NOONE replies
P.S. The Audio Bullys have a song about this, it's called "we don't care" [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] |

Nvidia MX 440
Forceware 77.77
Does it with previous versions too.
Couldn't be the monitor. Cause if it was I wouldn't be able to take a SS of it.
Gateway EV700
Firefox and IE.
It also does it everywhere else. Desktop background, programs, ETC. |

Hey SK, did this just begin out of the blue with no associated hardware or software change?
If you have already restored the driver and your issue still persists I would suggest backing up crucial files and then format/reinstall... however based on the screen shot I am concerned that it may be time to replace that card. Last time I saw that wonderful striping I had to replace my card. |

R clk desktop/properties/setting/colour quality set to the highest
I know that pretty basic but it happens.
the 77.77 drivers are good on that chip, I have a old gaming machine with an asus 440 card here.
has the card ever been clocked more than 7%? if a saphire brand 4%? without good aftermarket cooling on the ram chips. |

I've never had any luck with Nvidia cards. For instance, the computer I'm using now wouldn't even boot up with an Nvidia card in the slot.
This is what I'm using right now: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]
If it was me, I'd go to Best Buy, or wherever, and buy a different brand. If it doesn't make any difference, take it back. If it works, you know what the problem is... |

I had this same thing as well, on my Radeon card. I found that the adapter for dvi -> vga was not secured properly. I fixed the problem by securing the adapter and reseating the graphics card into the agp slot. |
