Error nsnst_ip2country failed

Hi bob or raven or to whom it may concern....lol..
Just upgraded from 2.3.2 to 2.4.0 and as they say,for every thing there's a first time. Sad

Right at the start as first step was upgrade table from 2.3.2 to 2.4.0 and got as result ... _nsnst_ip2country failed

But i did continue the other steps..
up240-240a.php
and
up240a-240b.php

That didnt gave a problem.

But what failed?

That failure means that the ip2c table already existed when the script went to create. It's a non-error really but let you know that the step failed.

I read the same question today 2.4.0a to 2.4.0b and I quess thats not the last about the nsnst_ip2country failed message.
The standard answer is thats a non-error after a normal upgrade. Smile

lol...well i might have said...for every thing there's a first time,but in this case that was even wrong.
however i do believe the text should be changed into something different like.

..."oops , nsnst_ip2country failed,ip2c table already exists.....will finish the rest.

that sounds 10x better,...

well a lot people believe you can blacklist/ban someone fully but you cant.
if thats what you mean anyway.
if i disconnect myself from the internet for more then 40 minutes i get a new ip. Smile

when installing my sql tables using nsnst.php, I got a blocked ip failed. I looked at the table data in MySQL and could not find any ip block tables, all the other tables wore their.
Just in case,
nuke 7.8 patched to 3.1
nuke sentinal 2.4.0b
running from desktop using uniserve apache server on M$ windose xp box.
Help anyone
