Actually FB took out the loading code for the Advanced Editor entirely. I recommend using includes/javascript.php file from 7.7 or 7.8

The editor is full of security holes and should not be used. That's why it was removed.

Would it not be safer (depending on where you are when trying to edit) to use BBCode or plain old html?

You'll have a lot more issues than just getting images working.

The bottom line is that 7.9 is totally flawed and using it is a complete waste of your time, as would be anyone's attempts to support it.

Even with "Patched" employed, basic functions are corrupted and due to the new code added by FB that is "supposed to" filter things, (which by the way is totally incorrectly coded) images won't appear even with the advanced editor code added back in.

In fact, in most editor scenarios where classes are defined (like "span class=) you can't even display colors or change font sizes, so the entire issue is moot.

There are other major problems that I won't go into here because they have been discussed at length in Raven's news articles, my news articles, Bob Marion's News articles... I mean everywhere.

Simply stated, do not use 7.9 under any circumstances due to the core design flaws as well as it being totally impossible for anyone to support because of those core design flaws.

It's not a file, it is encoded into every nuke input and output function and in the mainfile. It is completely corrupted and wrongly coded.

sorry, i will not, because the WYSIWYG editor is useful to me

rafamp, that is entirely your choice of course but I am a little concerned you think that a WYSIWYG editor which is not working and poses a severe security risk is useful?
With all due respect, rafamp, I would carefully reconsider your options.
Spending a little more time preparing your news articles is far more preferable to having to rebuild your site after it has been unlawfully accessed and hacked to bits or worse - your host closing your account due to attacks on the site.

For the sake of completeness, I assume the articles you are copy/pasting are not copyrighted and you have the owners permission to do so? They might be able to send you something else you can use like a link to their RSS feed etc.

Try the Patched files from http://www.nukeresources.com
It will fix this issue, as well as many other security and bug issues

Note that if you want the Advanced Editor, you will have to use 7.8's files. It was removed from 7.9

What about FCKeditor for PHPnuke 7.9?

I cant personally get it to work properly. I have a patched 7.9 (3.1) and everything works fine......nearly.

I can make my news, upload pictures everything, when I press preview everything looks fine, all images in place.

However, once I click post the images have all gone, leaving just the post. Strange really considering its been built to work with 7.9

try it out for yourself, it might work with your install
