This may be related to a similar problem I had earlier, but I'm not sure.
I'm running Nuke 7.5 I've reset the password on my normal user account (not admin) on my nuke site. I am unable to login to this account now for some reason.
I've flushed my browsers cookies. I've tried going into the admin panel to maually reset it. I've had the server email me the activation code to reset the password (as a normal user would do). I've even gone into PHPMyAdmin and cleared the password there, but the outcome is the same - I'm still unable to log in.
I've created a test account and I'm able to change the password for it, so I'm confused about what could be different on my account.
The similar problem I had was that I was unable to recreate the "super user" account. The problem turned out to be extra fields under "nuke_authors" that were added by a 3'rd party application, and once deleted the problem was resolved. Though I would think if this was the same problem I wouldn't be able to successfuly change the "test" user account.
Any ideas on this? Thanks again... |

Use phpMyAdmin and change your password for the username. Before you save it, make sure that you select MD5 from the dropdown box beside it. Then try to login. |

Then replace your Your_Account/index file with the one that came with your release. |

that file hasn't changed. Besides, wouldn't that be affecting all the other users on my site if the index file needed to be replaced? I'm the only one that apparently can't log in. |

OK... update
This one was strange. My user account was the same name as the "god" account. This never presented problems before, but on a whim I decided to rename both accounts. the user account I renamed, and it works fine, but even with the "god" account renamed, it won't let me use the old username. This is somewhat annoying, but atleast I'm not dead in the water anymore.
Any ideas about why I can't use my old username? |

I came across this a long time ago.
I had my God and User a/c names the same but diff pws
I could not edit anything in either a/c from Admin Cp, yet anyother user a/c I could do fine. There where no errors come up or anything to show something was wrong. I could edit either directly thru phpmyadmin Nps.
It is not a good idea to use your user name for the god a/c.
At 1st I thought it may have been something in Approve membership modual that I had just installed, Arnoldkng went thru the files carefully for me, but alas no. It was something in Nuke.
Also if one logs on with url http://website, u cant log off with http://www.website and visa versa...so if one doesnt work logging on or off try the other.
And if u log out of admin and then go to a new page to fast, sometimes u dont logout.
Every now and again ppl post this problem in nuke sites around the place. |
