I have a small user base as this site is just for family members so users don't change there info much. For that reason, I don't know how long this problem has existed?
The problem is when you go to Your Account/Change Info and change anything, or don't change anything, either way, when you click on Save Changes the next page you see says:
Registration Error!
ERROR: Invalid Email
Now from the admin area if I change the setting in Your Account to disallow users from changing there email, then you can change anything else in Your Account/Change Info and it works fine except you get this symbol ´ at the end of all your user info.
Second problem (related)
When I change settings in Admin/Your Account it adds this symbol ´ to the ends of various settings in Your Account. So the I have to go into the database and delete the symbols, which show up there as (´), from the cnbya_config table. Sometime the symbol shows up at the end of cookieinactivity and really screws thing up as far as anyone getting into the site.
If you need more info, just ask.
Thanks. |

Please identify your CNBYA Version and your revision of "Patched". |

CNB Your Account 4.4.0 b2
I'm not sure if I have any patches. I have not installed any but there might have already been some with the version of phpnuke I have which is phpnuke 7.6 platinum from TechGFX. |

Oh boy...
That could get sticky. Platinum is very much out of date and is no longer supported by the developer.
I would refer to http://platinummods.com |

Would you recommend doing an upgrade right now or do you think I should solve the problem first? |

To be honest, I'm really not sure what you should do.
Platinum is for all intensive purposes a dead project. You should probably ask what you should do over at Platinummods.com, they could probably advise you better.

I'll head over there and see what they say.
I'll post back later any solutions.

Though this is a double post from my site, install the patch packs first. They fix so many of the problems with PNP and things TechGFX forgot. |

Thanks for taking the time to give a link to the resolution. Not enough people do that when an issue is resolved off site. This way if someone else experiences the same problem they can find the solution too. |
