Is there a way to post a link to a specific post in the forums? Or do I have to link the topic and make ppl wade through all the posts to find the one I want to reference?

to my knowledge you cant ,whatever post your looking for it will allways show the topics id..,the closest you can get is naturaly grabbing the url if the post is on the second page,or third..etc..

Yes, you can. See the little mini icon next to the "Posted: ......" line? Right click that icon and select "Copy Shortcut" or its equivalent for your browser and then you will have it in your Windows clipboard (if you do not use Windows, I have no idea the process... Wink)

I will show you the result by coming back to this thread and adding yet another post and then edit THIS post to include a link to the new post... got all that! ROTFL heck, I even confused myself.

Ok, here is the next post. It will have an "anchor" number that you can append to your post URL.
