Another question about CNBYA

I'm getting this message after changing the cookie settings, I thought I knew how they worked but maybe not.

Cookie functions seem to be disabled.
Please change your browser settings! ( i have browser to set to allow all cookies)

My settings in cnbya (Cookie settings) are as follows.

Activate the CookieCheck (beta) Yes
Activate the CookieCleaner Yes
Time of Cookies - Logout when windows close

Path of Cookie Nothing Set

Allowed period of pageview inactivity 5 Minutes

I was hoping that this would log users off the site, when they close browser. . . Wrong?

Thanks
Chris

Are you using any fire walls.. if so then turn them off and try it.. if it works after that then it's your firewall stoping it not the browser...

if it does not work then you might have a problem with your browser...
you can try to use Firefox web browser.. without any firewalls running..

It's not a firewall issue, I can watch the traffic come in and out with no errors on the firewall. It was all working fine, the changes were made to the cnyba configuration, then it went wierd.

The issue has something to do with the Beta check cookie feature. It ships by default as OFF, I turned it on, and it was fine, until I started messing around with the times for cookie expiration. Then it really got complex when jpcache was running. In the long run I have turned off the beta cookie checker because I just had more important things to do than to try and figure that one out. With it off the error is not occurring. I'm sure I'll get back to it some day! Smile Thanks though!
