Upgrading PHPNuke 7.4 to RavenNuke 76

I apologize of this is the wrong forum or if the question has already been asked. I did search the forums to find a better forum and the answer, but I didn't find anything.

I am running PHPNuke 7.4 which I installed as the HackAssassins version 1.1.2. I just downloaded the complete RavenNuke 76 package and am planning to upgrade.

Looking at the upgrades scripts from 74->75 and 75->76 they seem pretty straight forward. Up to now all one had to do was replace all of the existing files. I have made modifications to many of the files and I would hate to have to go through all of the files I changed and then re-doing the changes. For the most part, I made comments when I made changes, but it is possible that I forgot in a few cases.

Is there a list anywhere of what files have been changed so that I can specifically look at this for changes. It is fairly straight forward for me to write a script that compare the default 7.4 files with mine looking for differences. However, it would be cool to have a list of changes to make things simpler.

well dont forget that after 7.5 7.6 theres a db change as well..

I seem to be missing what you are getting at. My understanding is that RavenNuke76 is basically the same as PHPNuke 76. So, in terms of database changes, the only ones that should apply in my case are 74->75 and 75->76. Or am I missing something?

I checked the NukeResources forum, but I didn't find any threads in the Forum you suggested that specifically address the issue of what files have been changed. Is there a particular thread you were thinking about?

Yes and no.....lol
because you mentioned that you were on the 7.4 i just added that theres a db difference after that...
the forum i posted handles the patches/upgrades/differences/and manualy if needed.
but any real chances in the nuke core should be in the original nuke files/readme's/install etc...by FB.

I saw the changes to the nuke_authors when going from 7.4 -> 7.5. Are there any others?

What I am concerned about is not the changes directly, but rather the files where the changes are made. For example, let's say that nothing was changed in the newsletter module between 7.4 and 7.6 nor in the RavenNuke76 version. Then I won't replace any of these files because I made some modifications. On the other hand, since the are changes to the forum files, I need to keep track of the files where I made modifications to make sure I put them in again after the upgrade. Like I said, if there is no list of changed files, then writing a script to check is fairly straight forward.

that would be most likely your best option yes.
i cannot think of such a nice overview of changes... Sad

but there are also programs that do that job as well...btw...mentioned a few times on the forum..
