htaccess....Is there a better way?

I saw this in this mornings news.....

Proxy Browser is a proxy browsing program written in PHP that lets the user view web pages through a 'proxy server' (the server the script is running on.) Proxy Browser uses cURL to remotely fetch pages, and then displays them on the user's screen by making it an ideal tool to bypass internet content filters at work or school, or to just browse anonymously. It's very easy to install.

I am going to look into it and see if there is a way to "Hard Wire" it to go get my data. Then it would be a simple htaccess for everyone except my domain server....would it not? This way it is one server and one server only that would need access to the data....at least that is the way I am reading it.

Well using cURL would do it, if you wanted to send and retreieve data back and forth from script to script. If you are just reading data, use the include function
