It has come to my attention that certain people are contacting users who post questions in my forums and pulling them off-line via PM's and IM's and offering their services for hire. This is a violation of this site's AUP, whether expressly written or not. Those of you who have spent any time here should understand that's why I implemented this forum. If a user has a programming need and is willing to pay, then you should post in this forum. Conversely, if you offer programming services for hire, then you post that here also. That's where it ends. If a user posts a request for contact, then contact that user via the means he/she has requested, and visa-versa.

I do not want, nor will I knowingly allow, unsolicited contacts for hire, via PM, in response to regular postings. I have had complaints and also requests for character references from users who have received PM's requesting they give their userid/passwords and/or solicitations for doing the work for pay. I am not against anyone using this site to make contacts, but please use this forum to do it. Do not "offer" your services through any other means/forums or you will find yourself banned. If you detect that a user is asking too much for a free response, then politely suggest that they post a programming request in this forum.
