I'm having trouble with e-mails not being sent to new users when first registering at my site. In my forums "General Config.", I have "Enable account activation" set to user which seems to work fine with my nuke 7 sites.
I apologize if it's a stupid question but I'm truly stumped
Thanks. |

Have you searched the forums here for ideas? This happens all the time, and it could be related to your server configuration or other issues causing the mail to be blocked as spam. You might also enable display_errors and check the error logs. Finally, try sending it to an email account with either no spam blocking or a spam folder where you can check. |

I have looked through these forums but didn't see anything really all that helpful but maybe I didn't look close enough
I guess I'll have to give that a try, thanks.
What stumps me the most is that it works for my 7.0 installs so it really makes no sense to me whatsoever. |

Well if all your sites are on the same server then yes, it does limit the possibilities somewhat.
As kguske proposed, you need to be checking your error logs. It may be that phpmail is not working or a number of things. |

I get ppl who tell me they aren't getting the email and then I send an email to the addy the used and it comes back undeliverable. About 50% of the "didn't get it" compaints I get are because they used a fake email. The others -- some eventually got the email after a couple of days, some never go it (or they got it but deleted it without looking at it). |

Sounds like an Exim problem to me - this is server related and has to do with your hosts mail queue.
If it was nuke, I would be more inclined to accept it either always working or never working not 'most of the time'. |
