Hey - I have a few themes I like for my site, but most of them are in like a wide format. I have seen several themes that have both a wide format for people with higher resolutions, and the same theme done in a more compact format where the width of the whole site is compressed in on both the left and the right. I may not be explaining this well because I don't know the proper terms.

I'm sure it has something to do with the html code, in either a style sheet or something. I want to know how I can take my themes that I am using and also provide a duplicate of each in this more compact format for people using lower screen resoltions.
Thanks
Taz

hello taz devil....

it all depends on the width of the design,mostly done by the tables in a theme.
if all is set to 100% then it means that everybody that visits your site will see your site in its proper design.
so if you see things like <table width="780" ....then your theme is fixed.
but best is to use <table width="100%"...

ok - I looked at the tables.php file in one of my themes. It looks like the widths are all set to 100%. So basically, a lower resolution shouldn't be an issue, it should scale back accordingly, that is what I think I am hearing.

well you should also check the other files as well cause the tables.php is not the main file that determines the width.

Yeah, after reading your first post I was poking around, you have your header.html, footer.html and blocks.html and that's about as far as I got before deciding to leave it alone hehe!

I changed some values and just decided to leave well enough alone before I screwed something up.

well as long as you back up you can screw it up as many times as you want...
the header.html determines in these cases of html files the width ...
so you will see something like this..
<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0">
