Hi, Im new here but known elsewhere.
After reading loads of good stuff about the RavenNuke packages I thought Id use the latest for my latest site on clean webspace.
But, I cant get it to install.
The files are uploaded and the config.php is DEFINATELY correct. I go to the install page in my browser and it tells me its connected successfully. But, when I click the "Install Core Tables" button, I receive a 403 Forbidden error and cannot progress.
I searched raven forums and found a similar prob suggesting that there was a corrupt file somewhere so I re-downloaded the package and dropped the INSTALLATON folder into my webspace but Im getting the exact same results.
Have you got any Ideas as to whats wrong?
Thanks in advance.
*edit*
trying to do it manually with the .sql files in the package
but still, wouldnt mind some help |

Ok, Ive installed the database by doing it manually through phpmyadmin. Ive created the god admin, again manually, but still, I get 403 forbidden when I try to log in either as admin or normal user.
Does this package actually work? |

First, welcome to RavenPHPScripts.
Many people have successfully installed RavenNuke. I wouldn't recommend trying to install it through phpMyAdmin, since the included installation routine works really well under normal circumstances. The key word there is normal... It sounds like there is some security - maybe in a higher-level htaccess file - that is preventing access to some files. Are you trying to install it in a subdirectory?
What type of server (OS and HTTP server) are you using? |

Ive just found out from my host that there are some restrictions on the account until the domain is fully propegated. Sorry for the frustrated slur on ravennuke!
So, I might as well just delete the lot and start again when Ive got my domain fully registered and active.
See you then!
BTW, noticed the w3c image in the footer so clicked it out of interest.
Not valid, 9 errors, soz mate. |

I haven't checked it for compliance out of the box. Did you add any content that isn't compliant? |

griffinsbridge, the default theme which comes with RavenNuke76 (fisubice) IS W3C compliant. However, it is quite possible that the default message or default block content is not. Although FB likes to think his code is compliant, he's got issues all over the place!! |
