Is it just me???

I've been trying to download this file (non-patched) for over 24 hrs -- every 5 minutes -- using 'Free Download Manager', with no success!

Is there somewhere else I can download this update, bros?

Heh! I still can't download it!

Oh, well, I guess it's just me -- I even tried going through a proxy.

I'll snag it later...

I haven't released that yet. When I get a chance (I'm near the end of the 'busy season' at work) I'll work up a distro...

The core files are over here: http://www.bie.no/products/phpodp/ but I've made a lot of changes, in order to integrate it into Nuke.

Before:
http://www.bie.no/products/phpodp/odp.php?browse=/Computers/Programming/Languages/PHP/Scripts/Content_Management/PHP-Nuke/

After:
http://www.lenon.com/modules.php?name=ODP&browse=/Computers/Programming/Languages/PHP/Scripts/Content_Management/PHP-Nuke/

Thanks for reminding me! Wink

I'll bang it out his summer...

I don't know of any other ODP module worth having. That is, there used to be a couple of them floating around, but they didn't work too well, IMHO. That's why I made 'ODP for PHP-Nuke'.

One of the 'tricks', for instance, is caching the results. If you have an ODP module that sucks each and every request from the Open Directory Project web site, after a while the ODP site will automatically start throttling you back, and your ODP module will start running slower n' slower, waiting for results. Sometimes they'll even ban your web site altogether. So, the cache is a biggie, and I don't know of any other ODP module that does that. Wink

Speaking of the cache, this is one of the reasons I haven't released 'ODP for Nuke' yet. I'm using a flat file db, which works fine, but tends to take up a lot of room on your web site. It's not unusual to have 200,000+ (9kb each on average) files in the cache directory -- and that's with pruning every 31 days...

I've been *thinking* about using a sql db instead, but I'm afraid that will drag down the performance of the entire site -- maybe even the whole server, in a shared environment.

Any thoughts on that? Anyone? Cool

anyone know of instructions for a manual upgrade from .19 to .20 ?

I have found instructions for every other upgrade. FOr those of us with tons of mods, to apply the patch we must do it this way.

I believe it is all pretty much the same as what phpBB releases. Their change log should be good
