hi,

i have this problem on my site: when i create a rss block with any type of xml link (also the default ones), if in the news there is an accented letter (i'm italian, so we have a accented letter in our language), this letter changes into an "A" letter (or other vocals) with strange accents on the top.
Instead, if i include a javascript in the block to import in my site rss news, this problem vanishes and all letters are perfect, but with this second solution, the site becomes slow in order to show it. So i would apply the first solution.

How can i?is it possible to correct that problem?

thanks a lot.

Can you post the URL of a specific RSS feed that is giving you this trouble. I want to check and see if RavenNuke76 handles it, then there may be a way to get yours working as well.

Unfortunately, I am thinking this feed will not work with the core nuke RSS block (reader) as the feed you posted is RSS version 2.0. I don't think it is compatible with nuke 7.6. Something we will need to look into.

No, it did not work. I don't think Nuke's code works with 2.0. Unfortunately, I don't know much about it either.

By the way, I have added this to our RavenNuke76 "things to consider doing" list. The core nuke RSS/XML reader is so out-dated, it could use an overhall.

Ciao,

I think we need a much better coder than me to do that.
hopefully some of the moderators or admins here will have a look at it.
I'm not so smart in PHP Smile
