Well, I just download an installed No mail hack 7.6 from http://www.nukeresources.com/downloadview-details-947-No_Mail_Your_Account_Hack_7.6.html , however, when I go to the registration, it says, Access Denied, how do I fix this problem?

what version is ur site and at what patch level?

easiest thing to do would be to install cnbya (a replacement for the your_account module with admin control).

cnbya offers a lot more then just a simple click of a button to stop e-mails.

Was there a sql file that needs to be run? The desciption says it includes an admin panel so I'm assuming it must save the configuration to the database?

I have taken a look at the files and it seems they are quite old.
They certainly do not follow the current 'patch series' architecture and there are some considerable differences bwtween the currently used files and the ones in the download.

I do not honestly think that a 'fix' is within the realms of support as the whole things needs recoding to bring it up to spec.
It may be worth contacting the original author to see if this is possible or try a different hack/ module all together.

This is a hugly popular hack in the world of php nuke... It's too bad nuke does not just have a configuration option for turning off email and enabling an instant account approval mechanism.

But, since it doesn't...

Does anyone have a working RavenNuke2.02.02 hack for this?

Hmm, so I wonder what those settings are for in the Forum config area.............

The forum config is independant of the site account creation config. The forums piggy back the nuke-site account creation, not the other way around.

But who knows? I'll give it a try...

-- Edit --

I don't think I see what you are referring to...

'Enable Account Activation' setting in Forum configuration.
If that is set to 'none' I thought that allowed instant registration/access.

By default the setting is 'none' and my site still requires you to click on a link sent to you by an email at account creation.

Well that clears that up, thanks.
I'll try to look at this as soon as I get some time. I'm away from my normal PC until atleast 29th July.

The default Your Account module does not rely on the forums configuration.

You'll need either the No Mail hack.. or for admin approval, the Approve Membership mod
