You need to be a bit more specific, what version of RavenNuke are you using?
Is it a new install?
Have you updated the forums and therefore what version of PHPBB are you using?
Are you using any MODs?
Raven Nuke is one of the most secure versions out there, just make sure you keep up with the patches and latest Sentinel versions and you will definitely be more secure than platinum! |

You MUST be kidding me here. Do a bit of research and anyone who has started such a rumor is a moron plain and simple. This is one of the best, if not the best, nuke version you can get. It is well patched, updated, secured, and always being tested by dedicated, competant, and relentless individuals.
There really shouldnt be another nuke version for people who are just starting out. The higher ones are a nightmare and the lower ones are mostly obsolete.
Where did you hear this "rumor" anyway? IF your provider complains about it in particular your provider isnt too bright. If your provider complains about nuke in general they would be accurate as it has been known to be a pain for some providers in the past. However, you stated that your provider dislikes this version. Is your provider keen on his clients getting hacked? |

I would like a clarification as to your rumor statement. Are you saying nuke v7.6 in general or RavenNuke76(tm)? Reason being that RavenNuke76(tm) is virgin phpNuke v7.6 that has been patched with Chatserv's latest patches (as of the time of its release) and has NukeSentinel(tm) pre-installed. So, anyone with 1/2 ounce of a brain can see that in no way is the RN76 package any worse than the author's (FB) public release! To the contrary, it is much safer! Please invite your provider to come to the forums and to accuse me to my face, proving it with facts.
For you to even state that indicates that there's a 99.9% chance that you are nothing more than a troll. We do not need trolls here. If you want to be constructive and/or want help, then I suggest you stop passing/spreading rumors. If, on the other hand, you have proof of what you said, then please share it with us. We are always looking for ways to improve someone else's product! |

im sorry if i have offended you, i have run phpnuke systems in the past, and i havent got any problems so far.
this was the first time i got in contact with this package, and the provider where its running has a problem, my own site was also a phpnuke system and sentinal got all the hacker that tried something back then, so im confedend this would be good too, i just thought well it doesnt hurt to ask but i thought wrong.
also i have no doubt in the competence of the people who are so dedicated in doing all this work for free, it makes me ashamed sometimes im not one of them.
there for my sincere apoligies for the fact that i offended you.

The way that I read it, he meant RavenNuke76(tm) which is why I spoke my peace about it. |

again im sorry if i was out of line, i wasnt my intention to make your product look bad.
im also not spreading rumors, i was consulting with the main site admin on how to proceed, due to the provider complaining. its all a delicated situation and were considering to move from provider.
I want to apoligize for my lack of research, i wasnt aware of the developement status of ravennuke in comparison to the normal package.
it was not at all my intention to give your package a bad name, as i also havent done so i believe. |

Apologies accepted. I have not created a new verion, I have simply made a prepack to help people not have to install some necessary fixes themselves. We will be releasing v2.10.00 soon and all the patches after v2.02.02 will be in there.
Seriously, though, your provider needs to come here and state why he is saying what he is saying. He is quite misinformed. |

We always appreciate it when a poster fixes something that they post what they did to correct the problems, in an effort to help others. Would you please share your solution? |

of course i will.
there was a database problem, the field serach_time was of the type int(10), search time is 11 numbers long.
was just a stupid error, and i dont know how it got there. i found it when i looked at the update script, there was the alter table statement with int(11) and it was int(10) , thow i made it varchar(30) to be safe.
it still has issues, like not showing all the nw posts etc, but i believe that has something to do with cookie settings |

I, and many of the visitors to our site have recently begun to have the same problem. I started after our site was migrated to a "new platform". All files appeared to be identical with the original site. The wierd thing is that sometimes that link works and sometimes not. Sometimes opening the link in a new window works and sometime the "no new posts" message appears - when it was clear from the main forums page that there were new posts. I have tried 3 different browsers and the results were the same on all. (FYI. site is clanfga. com)
Here are the nuke specs:
RN7.6p3.1 (If I remember right it is RN1.05.00)
phpbb v. 2.0.21
I have not had the time to upgrade the site to RN2.02.02 but plan to asap.
Here is the mysql dump:
Code:--
--
-- Table structure for table `nuke_bbsearch_results`
--
CREATE TABLE `nuke_bbsearch_results` (
`search_id` int(11) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
`session_id` varchar(32) NOT NULL default '',
`search_array` text NOT NULL,
`search_time` int(11) NOT NULL default '0',
PRIMARY KEY (`search_id`),
KEY `session_id` (`session_id`)
) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1;
