darklord.....THATS IT!!!! Very Happy I have now made it all work myself and it is EXACTLY what I needed!!! Dance-Y

See.....because I have jumped from basic html authoring and editing to php nuke and I am by far a complete whiz at php and all this, i much prefer a solution that does not mess around with files that are not 'directly associated with' (or inside) the new module I am trying to create. I would rahter the new changes i am making be iscolated from the core files of the nuke package...I know it may seem a little paranoid, but for now it makes me feel better......Does all that make sence?

darklord, just one final qustion in this thread from me...does this solution you have provided generally work for all (common) javascrip?...one i have in mind is when you have a list of things on your page in alphabetical order and you have the alphabet listed accross the top of the page, then when a user clicks a letter of the alphabet, the page to jump down to that part of the list.

Only thing I can tell is that that particular function is also able to done in html, but you MUST make sure, that you are not declarring the same function twice. Javascript will not functon properly if its declared more then once.

I dont understand what you mean by 'declaring the same script twice' will not work.

in javascript you end up declaring functions, but to try to use 2 of the same function on the same site(from what I have been told) may cause one or both to become none functional. so both cannot work, you must be sure that in the javascript you use on your site, is not already in use on the same page.
for example, with your javascript, if you inserted that into your javascript.php and you did like you already did for your module it wont work, the same script is being declared twice, see first your main nuke pulls it, then your module does too.

I hope I'm accurate in my statement as others have better knowledge at this then I.

i understand now darklord...that makes perfect sence...and if you ARE indeed correct with your thoughts on this, i do not think it would be a problem, would it?

I mean, if the script is already in the javascript.php file, then I gess I would then not (need to) be looking to use the alternative option you have given for making javascript work...i.e. because that function should already work, due to the script already being present in the javascript.php file....correct?
