Hi,
I installed NS into my 7.4 phpnuke site.. I can access the admin.php section but it says "Illegal Access Detected!!" and does not let me access the blocks, modules or anything. When I try to access the NS admin I get a blank page which says in the top left corner "Illegal Access Detected!!
Inadvertently I installed the NS with the .htaccess from the NS install files in the root as I did not realize that was not supposed to be done until after install. So... I deleted all .htaccess using the cpanel file manager. I still get the "Illegal Access Detected!! as well I altered the files as indicated in the NS install folders but received multiple line errors. I also used the code from this site to alter the admin file, the mainfile, the javascript file and etc.. and again received multiple line errors. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. I also tried to delete the NS installed tables but it said that failed for each table.
Anyway thanks again for any suggestions.
Peace ~ Nagashi

Illegal Access Detected

search this with the search all terms ticked.

You will find about 20 posts.

Those should help you to decifer your issue.

Or

You can load all of your current ftp files into a folder called "messedup" and then load into your ftp a full backup of your files from before you attempted to install Sentinel. Then check that thigs work. If they do, go and redo your Sentinel install. Then see if you still have the issue. It could be that you just have errors from doing an incorrect install.

or

you can pay someone or beg someone to help you to install it.

or

you can upgrade your site to RavenNuke full and be done with it.

nagashi, it sounds to me like you do not have the required patchset for this NukeSentinel version. If you read the README.txt it has this in there:

Code:

Section 2: Requirements & Latest Features:
------------------------------------------
REQUIREMENTS:
- While NukeSentinel(tm) runs with PHP-Nuke 7.7/7.8 it is recommended that you use 7.6
or below due to the many security issues introduced in 7.7/7.8 .
- NukeSentinel(tm) requires PHP-Nuke 7.1 - 7.8 plus Patched 2.9+ to be installed. If
you are not using Patched 2.9+ you can still use it, but you will need to make
several modifications. If you are using v6.5, it should work but there may be additional
  edits needed.

See FEATURES.txt for a current list of features:
See CHANGES.txt for a list of the latest changes:

I may be completely off-base, but that is my "guess".

Hey guys thanks for all the help, basicallyI totally borked the install, so I deleted NS from the server and DB tables and loaded up a backup I did before the install.
We are closing that site soon anyway and moving to a different host server so I went ahead and installed the RavenNuke on the new server and it went without a hitch including the NS. I really appreciate you guys replying to this post. I learned quite a bit from these forums and it really helped with the RavenNuke install too.
As well I will definitely be making a donation very soon as a token of my gratitude for the work that is being done here.

Any little bit helps! Raven does this solely for the benefit of the community as well as the multitudes of volunteers who help support it too. If the community doesn't support it financially... Sad

Thanks!
