Usually, the question is: Has anyone ported this phpBB forum mod to Nuke? In this case, it was developed for Nuke first...
I took a forum mod that displays the last topic reply in the title tag for a forum index, and modified it to use the great boxover popup script. Unlike the forum mod (which removes bbcode, appropriately, from the title tag), this mod displays the message just as it would be displayed on the topic page (i.e. with full bbcode, smilies, censored words removed).
The benefit of using boxover (as opposed to other popup scripts) is that it uses the standard title tag, rather than a custom tag. This help SEO - search engines love title tags.
Before I invest time in releasing it as a download, I'd like to solicit input / feeedback.
Please have a look and tell me what you think:

This is really interesting stuff! Bring it on...
Can the cssbody and cssheader be placed anywhere in the title tag or does it have to come first? Was just wondering if there could be any negative consequences of the search engines seeing the same tags (strings / words I guess) in all of these links. I really am no expert, so its more of a question... |

Great question. I haven't tested it, but I don't think the cssbody and cssheader directives need to be first. I agree that it's better for the search engines if they are after the body. |
