Hiya All,
I have a question about doing the install of RavenNuke, I have a site going already (kinda) on PHPNuke 7.8, I have been working on getting some of the extra security stuff going but I have bombed out. Since RavenNuke is based on 7.6 (i believe) can I downgrade to it and keep the stuff I have? I have several users and Gallery2 with pictures already going.
Thanks, |

This question has been asked an answered more times than I care to remember.
I don't really want to repeat everything again - no offence to you personally.
If you search this forum you will find some long and exhaustive threads on the subject but if you have a specific question not already answered or are unsure of an answer already given, please feel free to post again. |

I think this may depend on how Gallery2 is integrated. If it needs alterations of the nuke core tables, those will have to be done again but you should be able to re-insert the data from your back up into the new table fields.
If you are wiping your site clean first, then you should only need to re-upload the files and images you need from your back up.
If there are no changes needed to the core nuke tables structure then the data in them will not be wiped by the Raven Nuke installer.
Hope that helps. |

I have Gallery 2 running on a couple of sites with Ravennuke 2.02. If you were running Gallery2 in PHPnuke 7.8 then you probably already have the Integration pack. Depending on how you bring your core tables over you might need to re-do some of the Nuke admin screens to recognize Gallery but your albums should be just fine.
Post back here if you have problems with it. |

I found the problem --- the index.php file from the intergration pack did not overwrite the one from the gallery install, it was renamed to index-retry.php due to the FTP client I use. Little off subject but any clue to how I get my FTP server to allow overwrites? |

Look at options in your FTP client. Mine (CuteFtp) has several options for overwrites, including prompted, no warning, overwrite older files etc. I doubt that it's a server issue or at least I'd look at the client first. |
