Indeed that´s really strange. I believe they hate nukers.
It was just a normal post. Someone asked how to to update his forums version 2.0.15 . I added 2 links to Chatservs pages and after 2 seconds the thread was closed by a moderator. |

Yep they have no support at all for phpNuke. Can't even mention it.
It sucks because they get quite many users who use it because phpNuke is running phpBB
Though I understand why they would not want the hassle of supporting someone else's software (esp if written by one FB) hehe |

Agreed, but don't delete the post - simply explain that and close the thread so others don't waste their time posting similar messages that have to be deleted... |

Well, but there is no reason to remove such threads because the links to BBtoNuke can help other users to find the right forum. There are many people like this user I meet at phpBB.com who don´t even know the forums version or the difference between phpBB and the great nuke forums module.
However, you hit the nail on the head. That´s certainly one of the reasons why they don´t support Nuke forums.
But why should I link back to phpBB ?
I make my own forums translation and link better back to nukefixes.com or nukeresources.com. |

Ah, excellent point!
Are we allowed under the GPL to remove original visible references though? I don't think so, but not 100% sure... |

You can comment them out. You cannot remove them from the source code if you redistribute the source or fork it. |

I suppose another alternative would be to use css to create a new class to match the background color and then display the link using the new class - basically the link would still be there but invisible |
