It's driving me nuts. I have checked all the likely scripts, and cannot find which one is putting a stray php closing ?> at the very top of the page. Changing themes does not make a difference.

See it here: www.computernewbie.info at top left.

Advice would be most appreciated.

You have javascript errors on your page too. My guess is that whatever file you modified which has this javascript in it, is most likely the one that is causing this. Could be header.php, but more likely it was one of the scripts under includes like javascript.php or meta.php...

Hmm -- could it be the google analytics script?

Nm -- my js console says there's an error in backend.php but the code looks ok. Is there a script that gets called before backend.php?

I don't see where you are calling backend.php on your site. That is not it.

You had asked for help on identifying what script is causing this. You have to go back to what you have modified. Most likely you have introduced the extra characters in there. This is really common in script files where both HTML and PHP are mixed in (i.e., 'in-line' PHP code inside a HTML). Most likely that is where the problem is.

I have checked javascript.php and meta.php -- still not seeing it.

Hah. It was in lang-english.php file, right at the bottom.

Thanks for your suggestions.
