Hi guys. I was wondering if sentinel will have any protection against DDos attacks in the future? I know it has Dos protection but not DDos and I also know that a DDos attack is relativly easy to exacute and its a particularly deadly attack that can cripple a site in seconds.

Is it possable to impliment it into sentinel?

simple said ...no.
ddos attacks maybe simple but but it takes a lot to stop it.
this can only be accomplished on server level.
not long ago i gave a nice sample of that,a server from easy-gard that costs $40.000 Wink

Well the reason I am asking is that I dont control what my server does because like many others its someone elses server I am hosting my site on. Whats the chances of my host having protection against an attack of that magnatude?

I have the best plan that they offer and they claim its very secure but yet a few months ago they suspended my site because someone was simply sending a bandwidth killer through the servers which is in my opinion one of the weakest attacks of all which I was not happy about them sespending my account without warning what so ever over that.

i cannot judge your host if he's any good or well protected.
keep in mind that any security for ddos costs a lot of money.
anyway, the other topic i posted the ddos is here...

I agree with hitwalker. NS cannot prevent this. This needs to be detected and blocked at layers 2 and 3. By the time these "requests" get inside and start executing scripts (Nuke, NukeSentinel, etc.), it's too late. They are now doing what they are designed to do and will bring the server down to it's knees.
