How to reset auto increment

Hey World!

I have a gap in my user ID,s (table - nuke_users) because I've deleted a few users. Is there a way to delete the users down to that gap, and then reset the count to continue from there?

For example:
user_id 1
user_id 2
user_id 4
user_id 5
user_id 9

to:
user_id 1
user_id 2
user_id 3
user_id 4
user_id 5
