I want to change the way News are shown, one main news in the first row and two more rows with two news in each.

ah i see,well im not sure about that..
just install it...and see what happens...
db structures have been changed since 6.5.
just give it a try....
do backup what you touch..

I might do that, but what worries me the most is that even if this old module might work it still could make a security risk.
