Problem with saveing to database on autoban

When my system email's me saying that a union script was block or some other attempt. I go into the banned ip and banned ip ranges and I do not see anything in there. The blocks are still saying 0 shamefull hackers. I know it blocks bacause I blocked me several times untill i protected my ip address. But even when it blocked me i was still able to get right back into the site with not problems. I just does not seem to be saving when it auto blocks. Everything i do by hand in the sentinal admin area gets saved?

Any idea's?

I am using Nuke 7.8 patched with Sentinal 2.5.0.1

I am hoping I do not have to uprade sentinal unless i have too..

when you go into the blocker configuration make sure that the setting is correct...(check the block type in the dropdown )
its mail,and ip check,and block ,and all together....

Thanks that did it. I had just assumed that would have been turned on by default. Thanks again.
