I currently host my site on a windows box. I am thinking about building a Linux box for hosting. Question... Is there a way to transition or migrate that data from the Windows box to the Linux box? How much of a headache would it be? I realize this might be easier to do If I just start from scratch, but would like to learn some things during the process of a migration... Does anyone have any gotchas that I might face? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!

You should be able to just dump the tables from Windows and restore them on Linux. It's done all the time with little or no difficulty. Likewise you can put your program files and html files in a directory and just FTP them across or you could zip them up and FTP them across and unpack them on the Linux box.
