Sentinel IP banning issues

I have received 2 emails that 2 ip's have been banned for hacking attempts but when I look in Sentinel ban ip list or DB, I see no ip's registered?

I have .htaccess with 777
There is a spce at the bottom.

I reread all instructions and reverified all settings.

Any othere suggestions?

Are you sure you have the setting for the type of hack set to ban? each type string,uni0n etc has it's own settings, and maybe the type that you got mailed for was set to email only, also double check that you have Sentinel pointing to .htaccess correctly, one little typo can make a difference.

I know you said you checked all settings but it you got the email Sentinel is probley working correctly, it almost has to be in the settings somewhere.
