Have you installed all the IP2C data?
Have you tried searching the forums here, as I believe this has been discussed before? |

Hmm - I just got it working - I think
Deleted all the tables in the DB refering to nsnst and then re ran the nsnst.php file again
I'm able to access the Sentinel admin page now .....
Now I just need to work out how to use it all |

Updating your ip2c will repair this error you are recieving.
If you are testing it in a LOCAL environment, the computer you are on, then you need to comment out a line in sentinel.php for it to work properly.
Basically, when you installed Sentinel this time, you did it without the ip2c, which if you would like to do that is completely upto you, but I wouldnt recomend it. |

Hmmm well when the problem occured I wasn't able to get into my site - thus unable to update the IP2C
After deleting the DB tables and then making sure I had the correct version of sentinel installed and correct changes to code made (which I did) -
I then re-ran the nsnst.php file which repopulated the DB tables - and then it worked ..
what I'm really looking for now is a concise explanation on how to get the best performance from the module ........
I also had a abuse report overnight

Well the message is telling you that it has banned the Googlebot for flooding. So it maybe worth checking your settings.
BTW your calender module is available to anonymous users and if Googlebot is attempting to crawl it there must be link to it somewhere. Maybe in an new article? |

OK I've found the link, it is under Forum / Events in your Navigation block, so this is where Googlebot is finding it. |

seems strange that it's trying to query the calendar so far into the future ....
index&Date=04/29/2012&type=day
.......
Also although I set the floodblocking to write to htaccess - nothing has been - chmod is set 666 as instructed |

Googlebot may be in a protected range, which is why it hasn't written to the .htaccess file. |

I assume you mean the Captcha? This can be set in the config.php file.
But this is only for logins and registering, not for downloads. |

For Captcha in the Downloads, you will something like NSN GR Downloads. |

Sorry it's not called that in the Config.php file.
It should be under $gfx_chk = 0, change the number depending on where and when you want the graphic to appear.
I don't use v8.0, but I assume it's still the same. |
