NukeSentinel 2.5.03, cannot run nsnst.php

Hi

I know this is an old chestnut and yes I have gone through dozens and dozens of posts re the running of nsnst.php but I cannot see whats wrong. Bang Head

Nuke 7.6 pl3.1with NukeSentinel 2.5.02.

Trying to upgrade from 2.5.02 to 2.5.03.

When I insert nsnst.php into the address bar from my acp page it goes to my index page.

Yes I am logged on as God.
Yes I have uploaded all the files.
Yes I have re-uploaded all the files just in case.
Yes I have cleared my cache and cookies and retried.
Yes I have carried out all the core file edits.
Yes I have display errors set to true. (No errors show).
Yes I have checked the server error logs. (No errors listed).
Yes I have tried with site enabled and disabled.

So what am I missing guys?

did you uploaded the correct files?...including the correct install file ?

Yes its the correct one, NukeSentinel_2503_70-80_Up.tar.gz from nukescripts.net.

maybe you can turn on error report,maybe if that shows something...
this sounds like a conflict...,and more important.....
you dont use anything on your site that deals with errorpages.?

Nothing shows in any error report and nothing is used to deal with error pages so any ideas?

I just cannot see it.

Maybe I should just run the sqls contained in the up2502-2503.php directly.

That is all I am trying to do, but I would have been happier finding out why nsnst.php wont run.

I am going to agree with hitwalker, something else is amiss here - besdies the near 800 compliance errors on the front page for a CMS that claims to be fully compliant.

One thing that *might* be the cause (I say might because I have not had time to check) - is either your admin.php or config.php not in the 'normal' location?

I do not believe this was referring to YOUR statement but more to the statement that NUKE claims to be compliant.

As for you nsnst.php problem redirecting to index.php leads me to one conclusion, That possibly its NOT regestering you as an admin, but thats still not the default, I believe this may take a direct approach, pm me with your info and Ill see what can be done.

My apologies, it seems I missed the 'up and coming' in the news title, please feel free to beat me over the head with a big stick.

The problem is, I do not use Bonus Nuke, if that is what you are attempting to install NS on. As hitwalker intimated, *something* is redirecting it back to the index file and having gone over the installer files I just don't see anything that would cause that in the files I'm checking.

I'll grab a fresh copy and have another look.

Anyways I completed the install by running the sqls in contained in the up2502-2503.php.

I would like to get to the bottom of this however because I am sure to run into the same problem with the next upgrade Shocked

I will see if any other user of BonusNuke has had the same problem.

Yes, thanks, the news specs would be very beneficial.
Just out of curiosity, did you try commenting out all the admin authentication code?
At least that would confirm darklords theory or mybe offer a hint for us to look elsewhere.

Course it does! lol So that has answered my question, it is not related to my problem because it redirects to index in much less time than 30 secs.

yes and no......
if your site has no problems you should be able to run the file as soon as you call it...
if the system doesnt respond then there's something wrong...
