I am looking for someone to add the latest forum attachment mod (2.40A) to my site. I am running Raven's Distro 2.02. Thanks!

You are playing with "fire"... Anything which allows for the uploading of files can pose a serious security risk to you and possibly even others on your same server.

Yeah, I understand that. After my entire site crashes I'll probably be back here looking for help. Smile

Does the attachment mod allow you to specify what attachments can be uploaded? It would be nice if I could have it only allow pictures. hmmm...

Well, the I am still looking for someone to do this mod, if anyone is interested. It would greatly appreciated!!!!

I am not certain about that. However, I do know that there are ways to execute code even through the img src reference. I get notices all the time of hackers attempting to perform XSS stile attacks by trying this. So, I am not sure how much checking there is on the actual file that is uploaded. All I know is that whenever someone complains of being hacked, it is usually some type of file upload or chat utility with the hole.

if you really want attachment mod to be installed or your site. try to contact loki the owner of futurenuke. He's Nukeplatinum have an attachment mod installed. Very Happy

Nooblet - Thanks for the advice. I have tried to contact Loki, but no luck. I also have already had a couple coders tell me they may do it, and then decide not to. It's kind of frustrating. Oh well.
