Hi
Apologies in advance if I've missed a FAQ somewhere on this - I promise I've looked and searched the forum
Basically I have RavenNuke76 v1.x Distro running ( Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!) and would like to 'clean' the look up somewhat
Basically I dont want to have the actual login block visible - I would like the members to login using the links on the header, however when I deativate it in admin to remove it from view, then of course login is then not possible.
Am I missing something simple here? Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

You could disable the login block in blocks administration (or make it visible only to administrators). |

Not all themes have a log-in link in the header so you might also want to make sure any themes that are available have them. |

I'm confused...did you disable the login block? Login should still be available via the Your Account module from the link in the header. |

Sorry kaine, it wasn't until I visited your site I realised who you were.
Yes you can disable the log-in block;
go to the nuke administration area
select 'blocks'
find the log-in block in the list and select the 'deactivate' option
User will still be able to log-in via the link in the header and also using the 'Your Account' link in the mmenu block on the left. |

Hi folks,
to be honest I already did the disable part in the admin section, however it basically disabled the login feature all together - only admin was able to log in
I've basically just left it active however its only visible to admin - this has worked
Thanks for your replies

Hi
Thanks for the recommendation to use this code - very impressed - still trying to get my head around the structure of the package, but I think I'm getting there
I will be changing the other site to this shortly once I'm happy I know my way around it properly

kaine -are you sure you disabled the block and not the Your Account module?
If you disable the module then no one would be able to log in but disabling the block should make no difference to their ability to log in. |

Interestingly I dont get a login option in admin=>modules, it only appears in Blocks
I deactivate it in Blocks Administration and it disables the login function completely.
Its ok now though - I've just made it visible to me only |
