I would like to add a few links to My Modules block that are restricted to members of various groups I have set up. I know I can add a link using this code in block-modules.php

Code:
$content .= "<strong><big>&middot;</big></strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"http://anysite.com\">Anysite</a>";

What I dont get is how to restrict the links to groups only without having to create a module for each link, searched the forums without much luck either that or I'm using the wrong search terms, any help is appreciated. Smile

Your easiest option might be to use Sommaire which is a replacement custom menu block.

Does the latest Sommaire integrate with groups?

Good point - no it won't work where the link is outside of nuke.

But I guess for the sake of simplicity you could use Sommaire to create the custom external links and then make the Sommaire block only visible to members of the specific group you wanted to see the links.

Again, this wouldnt work if you needed to have different groups to have different links visible.

That may be an option, I downloaded his version 3 beta and been playing around with it on my test site. Most likely I'll put it up I only need one group to be able to see the links. Thanks for everyones input.

Another option - if necessary - it to create an HTML block with the links, and set it to display only to the members of the appropriate group.

Sommaire version 3.0a beta does integrate with NSN Groups and is what I am using on my own production site. I have it in my downloads too...
