I occasionally get this entry in my.htaccess:

deny from 1.1 SERVER.. or deny from deny from 1.1 cache

When that happens, no one can't access the site anymore. I have to download .htaccess file and remove the entries.

1.) Does anyone knows what causes that?

2.) Anywhay to prevent such entries to be written to .htaccess...
I mean, do not write an entry that starts with deny from 1.1

I'm not aware of any third party scripts like Nuke Sentinel that would cause that. Check the 'write' permissons on that file it could be someone is writing to the file via some vulnerability.

Hi Gardian2003,

Thanks for your reply.. It is chmod 666... Should I make it 600 instead?
