hello

just a few questions ?

i have a review problem.

when i make a new review on the site the text get's realy strange
like this swat4+is+a+good+game

i'm running 7.9 patch 3.1
how do i fix this problem.

everybody is talking about 7.6 it's safer i presume.
is there a possibility to go from 7.9 to 7.6 without losing data ?

and is the review problem solved with 7.6

thanx for the help
Maffie

Delete the line in modules/Reviews/index.php

Code:

$text = urlencode($text);

I would recommend downgrading to 7.6.. and then upgrading to RavenNuke!
Use the downgrader script from http://www.nukescripts.net

I think Raven himself told me the downgrader script doesn't work with 7.9. That's the reason I've been stuck on this d*** thing (7.9) for so long. LOL.

No, anything is possible if you have the experience and time to do it.

I could have sworn actually that the downgrader would work going from 7.9 to 7.6, or at least get you a heck of a lot closer.

Then, you may be able to use the Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! just released by Guardian at Code Authors to see what other db changes are outstanding and patch them right up.

maffie, I would search here on "downgrading" or "downgrade nuke" as there there are definitely steps to go from 7.9 down to a RN install. You make it sound way to "easy" which is why I am thinking you have missed some things and are getting the 500.

BTW, a "Server error 500" is almost always an issue with your .htaccess file. You might want to look there first.

The environment you are using on your PC requires the GD libraries.

jaiib, get yourself XAMPP for Windows! Easy install and it has everything that you will need: mySQL, PHP, Apache, mail server, FTP server, etc....
