adding or changing messages

I just installed ravens phpnuke website. I am trying to change the default message that has the intro and the link to the administration.

I edit the files and click save, but it does not save, and goes back to its original. I am able to delete the original message

I also try to create a new message and I just get a blank screen with nothing.

I am able to add news articles which works, except for html files that I am not able to add (which is another problem)

Sounds like something may have gone wrong during installation.

I assume you didn't get any error message during installation?

If you turn on error checking do you get any error messages, if yes please post them here.

Also when you say you are not able to add HTML files what exactly do you mean?

Nuke will strip out some HTML tags.

ok, thanks for the response.
it was a problem with the database installation. I ended up manually adding the databases and that resolved that issue.
