Every page in site loads slow

Hello all this is my first post.

IMO, the pages on my site load very slow. I have searched the forums here and tried a lot of the solutions you have post, but to no avail.

I have tested the slowness on my home pc (6.0MB Cable) and work pc (3.0MB DSL) and both have the same slow results. I took most of everything off of the home page to try and speed things up as well....did nothing.

If anyone could have a look at it and perhaps post some suggestions on what to do. That would be awesome.

It sounds like it could be a hosting issue. Who do you use for hosting?

What sort of load times are you getting? I tried your site and typically I was getting 2-3 secs, although this isn't fast, I wouldn't call it particulary slow either.

I use Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! for hosting. And I took an average of 10 pages = 4.64 seconds.

There are a few minor issues with your theme but its taking arounf 2.5 to 3 seconds to load for me which leads me to concur with kguske - seems to be hosting provider issue.

You could be on 1and1's shared servers, so basically you're competing with thousands of others for processing time

I don't see a post from kguske?!? Confused

I have some web space with 1and1 on their shared servers and at first it was reasonably fast, but suddenly they got real slow, so I changed hosts and never looked back.

Yeah ,the respobse is a bit weird....
and a small suggestion..
you might wanna transfer your site to the root.

so move from http://armedguardian.com/nuke/html/index.php

to http://armedguardian.com/index.php

I never thought about shared servers...looking into it.

Would moving my site to the root folder speed up load times?

shouldnt have any effect but the proper place is the root....
very long ago i had the same like you.....and trust me....
just put it in the root....
