Sorry if this has been asked before I didn't see it...

How do I get it to stop charging tax? Ours is for the sole purpose of donations.

Thanks

Are you referring to the service fees PayPal charges to accept payment? If so, you probably won't be able to convince them of that...but I think you can turn off the display - check the configuration parms.

No this is different than the paypal fees...that comes off of what we make. What I'm talking about is when someone wants to donate $20.00 it charges them $21. and change. Anyone have a fix?

Never seen that before. Paypal may have some way to charge tax, depending on what country you are in.. but not sure if Paypal implements such a thing.

The only tax oriented thing I see in the code is a field on the incoming record from Paypal in the ipnppd.php script. Check your Paypal.com account (the same account to which Treasury donates). If you go to Profile -> Selling Preferences -> Sales Tax, is there anything defined? I take donations, and the screen tells me about the service and has an "add" button, but I have no state/region defined. I don't see anything elsewhere that would define a taxable entity in my Paypal profile.

Yes, this sounds like a setting in you paypal account and is not related to the Treasury module.
