Blank Login and register pages

Hello....

I am running nuke 7.9 and Sent 2.5.03. Got everything installed and all seems to be running well. I do have a couple of issues. Members can't login, getting blank pages and new users can't register.... blank page.

Anyone have any ideas? I am fairly new with nuke and Sent... so please talk to me like I am 10... lol.... Just need to be guided through this.

Black pages usually indicates an error. Enable error reporting and check your error logs

Sounds like your changes to Your_Account have introduced a parse error. In order to find the line with the error, I have take a page out of kguske's playbook and try and access the script file directly. If there is a parse error, you will see it and the line (BUT, you have to have display_errors set to TRUE in your config.php file). If there really isn't a parse error, you'll see, most likely "Access denied".

ok, now that I can see the errors here goes....

When we try to login, register or go to "your account" this is the error we get.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/public_html/cod/modules/Your_Account/index.php on line 1572

Here is the code for line 1572

in function login($username, $user_password, $redirect, $mode, $f, $t, $random_num, $gfx_check) {

I am guessing that I have somehow messed up the core edit. But not sure what I did. Any help would be great.

I am having a similar issue, but only with one or two people. When they try to login, they get a blank screen. When I enabled logging, they got this message:

Any ideas?

liqiud, search for "headers already sent" and I think you'll find your answer...

BTW, you might want to remove your full patch details. Wink

ok, i tried all the fixes to the headers already sent, by which i mean turning output buffering on. I turned it on in my .htaccess file, and in my mainfile.php like the FAQ says, but instead of fixing the problem, it breaks the site for everyone. What am I missing?

This latest issue sounds like one of two issues: 1) you introduced a parse error with your edits, or 2) your host does not allow you to use this directive in the .htaccess file. Did you already have a .htaccess file previously? You may need to ask your host about the bufferring directive.

Beyond that, I am not sure why it would be working for most, but not for a few.

I've asked about the output buffering in the htaccess, but I'm not holding my breath on an answer (godaddy tech support sucks)...since it's only one user, for the time being i'm not moving the site since i already paid for a year...but i will be moving it soon, that's for sure.

I re-verified my edits, and they look ok...i'll just have to see if they respond or not...thanks for the help though guys.

Yeah, unfortunately, I just don't know what else to try. I have been hearing that as a consistent theme with GoDaddy, especially from a PHP-Nuke standpoint. Sad

if it wasn't so freaking easy to setup a new domain/hosting with them, i probably never would have went there...but i did...

Since it's only one user, and he can use IE for the time being, i'm not going to leave my contract, but at soon as it's up, i'll be moving to Raven for hosting...hard to beat getting hosted by the same person that writes your code. Smile
