My current site is a Dragonfly site and hosted at http://www.project-shade.com/veritas. I have bought sanctus-veritas.com and am looking for a different host for it as Ipower will occasionally give me a max users error when the site has heavy traffic. They say its a safeguard and will not remove it.
My question is, do you have any experience with Dragonfly? I'm sure a straight copy over is possible, but I was wondering if it was possible to convert it from Dragonfly to PHP Nuke? |

I know of no automated conversion tools. And, you would be going from better to worse. A straight copy is possible.
I do not limit the max queries like ipower does. It's not a safe guard. It allows them to oversell their severs. |

But there are solutions to max queries on Ipowerweb if you search here. They are well documented and work reliably (the solutions, not Ipowerweb) and are relatively easy to implement. Basically you just distribute the query workload over several "users" and Ipowerweb doesn't know the difference. There is also a solution if you do hit the max queries problem and get locked out. The idiots at Ipowerweb don't even know that you've reset your users with this solution.
Just search. If you get desperate I can dig out the posts this is in, but I'd be searching too, so why not you? |

So you're saying that Dragonfly is the better of the two CMS options? |

If you re-apply your db user permissions it will reset your queries limit back to zero as well.
