Firstly I'd like to say, my upgrade from 2.0.2 to 2.10 just went off without a hitch (bar a few theme issues which were easily fixed).
Its an awesome package, and I love all the features. It feels so much neater, nicer and faster than the original nuke, and it's much more reliable. The features in this latest package are awesome, and i'm looking forwards to getting to grips with them later. I'm also incredibly pleased with the support I got here earlier.
The only thing I think ravennuke is missing is some kind of navigation system to build customised menus with. I started writing one once ...but like everyone else in the world I'm too busy really!
I am slightly disappointed that Gallery 2 didn't make it into the package this time around. I use it alot and feel there is a lot of room for improvement on nuked gallery. I'm sure that the team here would do an excellent job with it.
Finally, a considerably smaller suggestion which I am working on myself is adding an option in the HTML newsletter module to send a newsletter to a group. It will make the HTML newsletter a lot more usable on the particular site that I am running.
Anyway, I'd like to say a big thanks to everyone here for working so hard... the end product is excellent.

I recommended to Raven that he not include Gallery and I'll summarize the reasons here. First of all it is a HUGE package. Let's be more precise. How does 2300+ files, 1400 folders, 18 megs and that's not counting the integration part sound?. Second, it has its own installation routine and process that we could NEVER replicate. It checks on all kinds of operating system dependent settings for instance. Third, if we include Gallery and then Gallery issues an update ... what do we do then? Yeah, people could go get the update independently if they wanted to but I think it's better if they get in the habit of checking the Gallery and nuked Gallery web sites for updates.
That was my 2 cents when I made my recommendation and I'd stick by it now. There is just not much to be gained by including it and a lot to be lost in terms of confusion etc. especially for those who don't want it anyway. |

It does work well with RN 210. I have it up and running at the moment without any problems. Very easy install, so for the ones who would like to have it they can and the ones who don't, don't have that large mass there..... |

hello again ,
i have been toying with the idea of installing gallery 2 which my host has made available through my web admin. Only let it have its own Db so only that would be lost if someone used it to hack my site, and secondly Registerd users only, maybe have that auto backUp utility which name escapes me at the present for the Db. Also my thought`s on it to was only turn it on when i know my users tell me they would like to upload, or secondly they send the file to me and only our Admin/ Moderators upload.
so i may go for one of those ideas.
It is a big security risk i constantly see people try the address bar hacks to try and destroy my site, because i have a dead Uploaded section . so the warnings about Gallery`s of any kind i could`nt agree more with. |
