I've seen some cool "last seen" blocks (include country flag, user name, etc) out there, but are there any secure enough to use with RN? The ones I have seen use MS-ANALYSIS which I have heard has some serious holes in security...
Sure I'd like to see it in a future release, but I'd love some info on how to do it (where to get it) on my own, if there is a good/safe one available
Seems like there would be some way to tap into "ip tracking" for the info...?
Thanks in advance
the block i was admiring that uses MS-ANALYSIS can be seen here

If you go ahead with this, I would recommend the block is set for registered users only.
It might be heavy on resources so having it set to registered users will stop search engines and other bots loading the server up when the data is of no real use to them. |

i noticed ms analysis was on the "project board" on the site I mentioned above... are they taking over the project or just taking it in their own direction? |

I have a block-lastseen.php that works fine without ms analysis. But only if you have it available for registered users. I tried it for admin only and it didn't work.
If you like, send me a pm with your email address and I'll send it to you.
btw, I have it working on a rn 2.02 site. I haven't tested it with rn2.1 yet.... |

thanks for taking the time to email this to me - got it working with no troubles or changes, running under RN 2.1.
Although when I view the table I created in phpadmin i see this error
Code:PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `id`
|
but I left it as is and the block is working fine, so far. Will probably keep an
eye on that table |
