just wondering since the use of short urls and such, does one still need to use say, sitemapper and seo tools? Are they still a good idea?
Thanks. |

There has always been a debate over whether short urls do help with SEO, or not.
I would still recommend a sitemap etc. NukeSEO is probably the best module for this. |

I completely agree. Unfortunately, I was impatient and went with the "Hail Mary" approach and through in short urls, dynamic titles and nukeSEO almost all at once. If I had to bet, though, I'd say nukeSEO followed by Dynamic Titles were to two "biggies". |

You would have won that bet!
The whole concept of using sitemaps is to make it easier for search engines to locate links to content which can sometimes get buried. Personally I use both google sitemaps courtesy of nukeSEO and plain html sitemaps. |

Is this a Raven approved module? I do not see it in the download area... |

It should work with RN 2.1, but in order to use the included META tag editor, you'll need to overwrite the default meta.php with a copy of the meta2.php file that comes with nukeSEO. |

Currently testing a different approach that allows nukeSEO to read the META tags from the page, rather than from the meta.php file. Eliminates the need to for a specific approach. Once it reads it, it will store everything in a database, eliminating the need to set file permissions. And that's just the tip of the iceberg... |

kguske, keep on
This is sounding really, really good... And, hopefully it would also have the ability to refresh itself after some period of time as maybe the keywords could change over time? (Not 100% about that, but wanted to throw it out there.) |

The thought was that once it stores stuff in the database, it would use that until it's changed by the META tag editor. Since the page would be using the same tags, it wouldn't make sense to read them from the page when modifying them. But yes, you could update the META tags for the page. |
