Stripping the target out of links

I have no idea when this started, but now all the links in my news are being stripped of the target="_blank" and/or target="_new" options.

Does anybody know where this is being stripped. If I edit the article, they are there. So Nuke is now stripping them out when reading them from the database.

I want certain links to open in a new window. Any ideas?

The check_html function will filter out other properties from the A tag

Thanks! Mine was a bit different though. Commenting out the following line worked for me:
