I read the readme for the Auto-Activation hack and it says:
Backup modules/Your_Account/index.php
Edit modules/Your_Account/index.php
Find the function finishNewUser()
Replace it with this one
That's it!
Where it says 'Replace it with this one' - I don't see anything to replace it with? Am I missing something?
Please help,
Thanks. |

i think you misread it somehow...
it says....
Find the function finishNewUser()
Replace it with this one
with this one he means...the contents of the included php file. |

i dont know if its compatible with your version...
but what about ... No Mail Your Account Hack 7.8 ?
Info :For PHP-Nuke 7.8 For servers without mail()
Users will be activated on the spot.
Users can also request a lost pass by answering a question they set when they register, the question/answer set can later be edited through the edituser window.
A new user's data will first be stored in the users_temp table pending the activation, if the user does not click the on-screen activation link the data will expire to avoid leaving inactive accounts in your database.
As a security measure you will receive a private message every time a user changes their password or if anyone tries to change a password and answers the question incorrectly.

Yeah I found that as well, but I don't like the activation link.. I had that before and many users didn't click it...
Whats the best option to being able to have a Auto-Activation, any way I can change my Nuke Version without messing anything up?
Or is there anyway I can get it to work on 7.8?
Thanks |
