The rules for managing your online reputation continue to change and it all seems to center around your ability to create buzz. Clearly the trajectory of launching an online "buzz missile" is much more of an artform than a hard science. This is a play-by-play diary chronicling one of the successes by the DaVinci Institute with an article about "Taste & Smell Patents" giving some interesting stats. It also talks about the Slashdot effect, giving the results of a Slashdot posting, a guest column in the Denver Post, posting on the Impact Lab, and other blog sites.

NukedGallery.net has made available a list of over 13000 IP addresses that should be banned from accessing your phpNuke systems. Most are the results of failed SQL injections, UNION exploits, etc, and others are a result of attempting to access sealed ports on the server. The file can be found here (registration required to prevent bandwidth leaching bots, sorry :( ). This file is updated every night, and usually has at least two dozen new additions with each update (see the trend here).

This is a list of raw IP addresses to be entered into either iptables, or your .htaccess file (remember, Apache does not obey the hosts.deny file).

What started out as a bet between friends has now become reality. A few months back when my host emailed stating that I would have to drop my PHP-Nuke portal due to their new AUP and TOS against nuke portals (Hostnuke.com), I was blown away. Months of work down the drain! Some may remember me scrambling to get CPG-Nuke up and running (which oddly enough wasn't against my hosts AUP) and posting around the nuke crowd about the situation. The night that happened, my friends and I were drowning our sorrows in some cold beers and one of them said I should code my own portal using Swish or Flash with PHP. Now we all knew Ego7 was already a viable portal platform and Read More...

For those of you that like the writings of Dante Alighieri, I now have his Inferno on my site. All 34 chapters, plus a map. I'd suggest printing each chapter since they are long, but you can read from the screen if you wish.

So visit Haunted Webby - http://www.hauntedwebby.com or Click here to go directly to Dante's Inferno
