February 24, 2005, (Mountain View, CA). The Mozilla Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving choice and promoting innovation on the Internet, today released an update to its award-winning Firefox 1.0 browser. The Firefox security update is available for the 27 million users who have already downloaded the free browser. The Mozilla Foundation encourages all users to download the update, which is available now on all platforms at www.mozilla.org. "Regular security updates are essential for maintaining a safe browsing experience for our users," said Chris Hofmann, director of engineering for the Mozilla Foundation. "The Mozilla Foundation has developed a community of users and developers who continuously provide feedback on Mozilla software, and as a result of that constant vigilance, we are able to provide quick and effective responses to security vulnerabilities." The Mozilla Foundation evaluates security issues on an ongoing basis and will issue security updates as warranted. The security update for Firefox includes several fixes to guard against spoofing and arbitrary code execution. More information is available in the release notes at http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/releases/. Firefox has been widely praised for its stability, trustworthiness and innovative features including tabbed browsing, live bookmarks, built-in pop-up blocking, and hundreds of available extensions. Folks, it's happened yet again. A fine member of the community, mtechnik.net, gets fed up with his work being stolen. It's getting to the point that there are damn few of us left that aren't doing what so many are now doing :(

Once in awhile, I'll check out what's going on around the web, just to see what's new. Well I came across the name of a new company which seems to be on the verge of slapping up the industry, the name? Mercora! Created by the former co founders of Gnutella 2 peer-to-peer (P2P) Client, and McAfee Antivirus, Mercora is set to now give the RIAA a run with what it's dubbing P2P Radio. Now I've been around the web for a minute, and seen many companies come and go, but I haven't seen anything like this. There's been Napster, Morpheus, Kazaa, etc. but where they seemed to miss the mark, as far ass staying power (due to copyright issues), Mercora has watched, learned and has found a small glitch in the Matrix.  Read More...

As NukeSentinel™ has become more and more popular so has my inbound email grown :( It seems that over 200 sites have my email address in their NukeSentinel™ admin list. As I get these emails I do contact the site admins and ask them to remove it but if you don't even add it I will not get covered in email that doesn't really need to come to me :) PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT add my email address to your NukeSentinel™ admin list.
