RavenNuke is a secured, enhanced distribution of PHP-Nuke, so SMTP enhancements for PHP-Nuke should work with RN.

Most addons are announced in the News here, so I searched on SMTP using the standard site search and found Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!.

By default you cannot. I used SwiftMail to create a custom mail function in Evo to use SMTP every where in Nuke that used the PHP Mail(). It is possible to port my work in Evo or create your own. Though if you are going to port my work I would wait until I release 2.0.5 which has a bunch of mail bug fixes.

LOL I am always alive...wait that made no sense. I am just busy.

If you guys (raven) want to add the code that I used for this into RN I would be happy to share it. I just tied it into the forum SMTP configs.

technocrat, we have definitely had quite a bit of interest in that in the past. Thank you for the offer. We may very well take you up on it. At the moment though, we're just addressing any found bugs (taking a short breather).

Why are you editing mainfile?
If you get a blank page afterwards, that is usually a good indication that the edit was not correct.

hey guys, what you being up to?

it's good to see you liked the phpnukemailer addon
after you edited mainfile and get the blank screen, do you see any error messages?

it's recommended to test it locally and turn error reporting on to check if there are any issues with it.

now you have to edit the files that call the mail() function and replace it with phpnukemailer, take a look at http://yoursiteurlhere/admin.php?op=PNMHelp for some tips and examples on how to get it working

PD: if you set it up for SMTP, your SMTP server has to accept relying from the server you are sending, otherwise it will not work
